I offer one-on-one supervision for clinicians, trainees, and researchers seeking to deepen their work from a Freudian–Lacanian perspective.

Clinical supervision

Supervision provides an opportunity to reflect carefully and creatively on clinical work. I approach supervision not simply as a form of technical consultation, but as a crucial ethical commitment for clinicians and a vital element of ongoing clinical formation. Supervision can provide a supportive space in which to rethink your approach to cases, sustain and clarify your desire as a practitioner, and continue developing the sensitivity and rigour required by psychoanalytic work.

I welcome supervisees from a range of professional and institutional backgrounds, including psychotherapists, psychologists, counsellors, psychoanalytic trainees, social workers, psychiatrists, and others engaged in clinically or psychoanalytically informed practice. I work with people already well versed in the Freudian-Lacanian tradition as well as those just beginning to explore what this approach can bring to their work.

Supervision may include work around:

  • Differential diagnosis and case formulation

  • Transference and countertransference

  • Analytic technique and intervention

  • Impasses in treatment

  • Psychoanalytic ethics

  • Lacanian theory and clinical literature

  • Questions of clinical formation

Alongside clinical supervision, I also offer theoretical supervision and consultation for artists, researchers, writers, and others whose work is informed by psychoanalysis, even where that work is not directly clinical. This may involve discussion of psychoanalytic theory, conceptual development, research, writing, or the relationship between psychoanalysis and broader cultural or intellectual practice.

My supervision style aims to balance close attention to detail with broader theoretical and ethical reflection. Rather than applying rigid or dogmatic formulas to clinical work, I approach supervision as a space for developing more rigorous and sensitive modes of listening and responding.

Practicalities and fees

Supervision is available internationally. Sessions are generally held via Zoom, WhatsApp or over the phone. Typically, consultations run for about an hour.

I negotiate fees on an individual basis, depending on session frequency. My initial consultation fee is typically €150.

Please note that sessions not attended or cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may require payment in full.
